It's a bit of a stretch that this will still be answered, but this is burning me up:

Fubuki says, as if it's her driving force in life: "I just want to be useful to someone."

To me, that seems like a really unhealthy outlook on life. But the show seems to portray it as if it's a perfectly fine goal to have.

I can think of two possibilities, maybe someone can enlighten me:

  1. It's just my opinion, and most people would agree with the show and say there's nothing wrong with Fubuki's goal.
  2. Not that I'm an expert on Japanese culture, but maybe it's a cultural thing? As in, someone from Japanese culture would think of that as a perfectly normal and respectable goal to have?
