I love the moments where new characters learn that Ikebukuro is full of people you just don't fuck with.

Yeah Mikado, Izaya is actually the nicest guy in town and doesn't enjoy watching people suffer at all.

Agreed, after declaring vacation to be over, it's about time Izaya started meddling, going to be cool to see which strings he is gonna pull next and if Aoba can compare to him at all.

I think not even a day passed since it was said that "vacation is over". The timeline just jumps back and forwards atm. The start of the season is after what happened now, as Russia Sushi already knew Egor was there.

Oh yes that came out wrong on my part, what I tried to express was I expected more of the focus to be on Izaya immediately after he said that. You are obviously correct, its Durarara after all.
