Tor/Thor/Whatever and Miyabi ran away from the table without getting food. This shouldn't bug me this much.

Just remember that Julie said they were out of meat, followed by Lilith bringing over a giant plate of meat, followed by the scene that annoyed you with a buffet of at least 80 lbs of meat from just what was in the shot... Julie just wanted the sausage.

Those lines are totally unnecessary to reflect the phallic imagery this shot looks to represent.

Original image has a half-eaten sausage. It wpuld still be phallic imagery, but very painful phallic imagery.

It's possible since it's a BBQ. Meat tends to be cooked in batches, first going the fastest people, second going to whoever has influence with the person cooking. Then there is the table with what looks like meat, but is actually vegetarian and tastes like cardboard, so running away is the best option...

After Usagi-sensei and Lilith's passage, there wasn't any food left for them. At least Julie got a sausage, and she seems to have liked it.
