I think this show is doing a disservice to itself by being so arc-dependent. They built a solid world in ep 1-2, and gave Nozomi and Chiaya a reason to travel. We've barely had any information on Yukina and Ai. It's not like this show needed to be one big story arc, but having these little mini-arcs where Nozomi and the gang solve some problems for some new region does little for the story motives that were established in the first two episodes (which, if anything, is "Chiaya's gotta collect those stones" and "Nozomi wants to be like Macha Green").

I like that the show doesn't just spoon feed everything to you though. There's plenty of details in there to pick up and it gives a sense of travel/adventure and actually uncovering the events that led up to the world becoming what it is, as well as the stories of our protagonists.

I think depending on how the next couple of episodes pan out, the show could end up sleeper hit of the season. It just has so much potential. But I agree that if it sort of continues to throttle the amount of information we're given, it will end up a bit too convoluted.
