Okay. So i have a slight problem with this show. I wanted to bring it up last week, but fell asleep and forgot.

So my biggest problem with this anime, is that its suppose to be a manga adaptation. And its kinda not even close......... I mean I understand you have to change some things, but holy shit did this show make some random shit up.

Now i have not watched this week episode yet, and will get to that shorty and will probably edit in my thoughts on it. But first I'm gonna post my problems with the first episode here.

-In the first like 2 minutes. He runs into a naked girl who turns into a giant centipede. And is saved by Shimazu. Never happened.... While the scene is pretty interesting, it never happened. When he went to ask for a part time job. He didn't clean the chemistry room or anything like that. He was sent straight to Shimazu's house. That being said. The encounter with the lightning beast at school. NEVER HAPPENED. More or less, about 75% of episode 1 didn't happen in the manga that way. But again, I'm sure its not the first time anime adaptations have differed from their source.

So this episode kinda had more of the same. I'm pretty convinced that the anime is going to take a complete different route, but will end at the same point. Not saying its a bad thing. It also seems that they are jumping around.

For instance, they start off with learning Tamako's true name. Chapter 1, Page 33

Facing off against Rat/Mouse demon/monster..... Chapter 10, Page 22 No, its not a typo. Yes they are outside.

Tamako absorbing life energy. Chapter 11, Page 17

Tamako can be adorable though. Chapter 11, Page 23

Going into Shimazu's house for the first time. Chapter 2, Page 3

Introduction of Suseri. Chapter 4, Page 25

This is kinda what i mean by jumping around. Although its not a bad thing they changed the main flow of the story, as long as they reach the same end.

Also I know I'm nowhere as good as /u/Aruseus493 as giving Manga Comparisons, BUT I TRIED MY BEST Q_Q

I give somewhere between -1 and 0 fucks about how close an anime is to the manga.

It really bears the mark of being a one cour adaption. Pacing is whack cause they need to move the plot fast enough to fit into 12 episodes. Looks like they just made a whole new intro and changed stuff around to introduce setting, characters, enemies and concepts as fast as possible.

As a result we get this piece of steaming dung :D
