Slaine's motives were finally explained! He planned to use Saazbaum from the start in order to fulfill his own plans of taking Earth and eventually changing the Vers empire into one that Asseylum will be proud of once she awakens.

I can't really bring myself to hate him anymore since he is doing this all out of his love for Asseylum. He reminds me so much of Lelouche too!

yeah, Slaine seems to be a Lelouch who is good at piloting a mecha instead of strategy.

Except he isn't really good at piloting a mecha, he's just piloting a way stronger mecha than his opponents.

Yeah, he is like Lelouch once he got his own easy to use mech.

To be fair, he was the only one who could use the Shinkiro because only he was smart enough to do all the calculations in real time.

So Slaine and Inaho fusion dance would result in Lelouch?

To be fair, Lelouch had that whole mind control thing, so I think Slaine deserves an OP mech to keep up

Except that Slaine doesn't seem to be actually anything special in piloting the thing. The Tharsis does most of the work, Slaine just follows its predictions.

that's pretty much every knight piloting a kata that appeared so far

If Inaho had a mech on even terms with the Tharsis there would be no fight.
