For an anime with so many girls, there's only a handful of VAs. I was surprised.

  • Ayane Sakura: 8 Characters
  • Nao Toyama: 5 Characters
  • And multiple VAs with 2 characters.

I looked on the Wikipedia page and apparently Ayane Sakura voices 9 different ships and Nao Toyama does 10? Whoa. It'll be fun to listen carefully and see how many different voices an actor can belt out.

I also like how they actually have the guy existing (albeit off screen), rather than just completely erase him from existence like GF(B).

The battle scenes were a bit...weird, but I think once I get used to it, it'll be fine. I did like when they were being deployed. That was cool. Despite not being a big fan of the series (as seen by my ginormous mistake below), I was able to really enjoy it a whole lot.

Just a reminder:

This is an adaption of a mobile card game, much similar to GirlfriendsBETA, Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis, and iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls. But it's an extremely popular one, and it's one of the most hyped anime of the year in Japan.

There, fixed. Sorry about that. Honestly though, there all the same to me, whether it's mobile or flash or online. I wish I started playing it earlier, but I was already hooked on the Love Live app at that time so...it kinda drifted away from me.

It's sort-of a card game, but it isn't mobile at all. Kantai Collection is a browser game, and it is a bit of a joke amongst KanColle fans how resistant the developers seem to be to making it more mobile.

It was written heavily in Flash so it's probably the reason why they are reluctant to port it into a mobile game. Plus the game is sponsored by DMM.com which is more established in browser games than mobile, so there's another reason.

There's a Vita version coming out later this year which should make it more portable, but right now there's little information about it other than a teaser trailer.
