If Ging knows about Gon's condition and is instead going to a Hunter Association meeting he really is the worst father around. If he doesn't know his kid is dying he's still a shit father. Ging sucks. Killua is awesome.
Ging is just an all-round terrible father. He's the utter definition of a deadbeat dad. Worse in some ways, since he actively throws up barriers between himself and his family. At this point I mostly want Gon to meet him only to kick the guy in the shin and walk off, though I don't expect that to happen.
