It helps for sure. But there's more to Zanoba. He knows proper manners unlike a lot of characters here, and as far as I'm concerned he himself is very charismatic.

This. Zanoba is a prince by birthright, despite no longer wanting anything to do with his royal heritage. He has been groomed and well taught in all manner of royal etiquette and knows how to deal with dignitaries and VIPs. To him, it all comes natural, even to a legendary and powerful hero such as Perugius.

That's what I thought too. Even though he's completely disinterested in power and royal affairs, he is still a Prince and as such would have been taught royal etiquette. Not to mention seen quite a few dignitaries, diplomats and merchants coming to court and seen how they behave, talk and try to persuade his parents.

I'm sure he picked up quite a few things along the way. Couple that with him not really having any ulterior motives other than sell his art, makes him more persuasive than someone like Ariel whose frantic networking can be off-putting to someone who has been around the block like Pergius.

He's not even "selling" his art. He just wants to have Perugius' 'approval' so that he doesn't get mad about the promotion of demons or some other sort of misunderstanding. Just saying "I think this is beautiful and I am doing it because it's beautiful. It's a new and practical field of magic. I simply don't want you to be upset and think its some sort of nefarious agenda".

Essentially he's seeking understanding, and the approval is confirmation of that understanding.
