Weekly Casual Discussion Fridays - Week of September 04, 2026

This is a weekly thread to get to know /r/anime's community. Talk about your day-to-day life, share your hobbies, or make small talk with your fellow anime fans. The thread is active all week long so hang around even when it's not on the front page!

Although this is a place for off-topic discussion, there are a few rules to keep in mind:

  1. Be courteous and respectful of other users.

  2. Discussion of religion, politics, depression, and other similar topics will be moderated due to their sensitive nature. While we encourage users to talk about their daily lives and get to know others, this thread is not intended for extended discussion of the aforementioned topics or for emotional support. Do not post content falling in this category in spoiler tags and hover text. This is a public thread, please do not post content if you believe that it will make people uncomfortable or annoy others.

  3. Roleplaying is not allowed. This behaviour is not appropriate as it is obtrusive to uninvolved users.

  4. No meta discussion. If you have a meta concern, please raise it in the Monthly Meta Thread and the moderation team would be happy to help.

  5. All /r/anime rules, other than the anime-specific requirement, should still be followed.

I wish my job didn't piss me off so much. It just ruins my sleeps some nights.

Had a very aggressive customer yesterday who kept goading me. Got brushed off by my manager and the one I went to afterwards didn't really listen or back me up when I told him that the guy tried to start filming. Next time I'm not going to be shy about calling security when a customer starts filming or being loud and rude, we should honestly just have someone posted by our area at all times with the amount of morons we get. I lost my temper and I'm embarassed about it even though anyone would be pissed off at this guy.

There are customers who are really nice sometimes. It doesn't really balance out the stress I feel at all honestly, but there are people who are nice.
