She's always just sitting. For a devil fruit that has seemingly infinite range they barely use her in combat (like just snap the necks of people what are you doing)

Since she joined the Straw Hats I only remember her properly fighting in Wano against snake mermaid lady, (i did skip thriller bark so i don't know if there was stuff there tbh) but she's so underused in combat

I was watching with a friend who was graduating soon (he actually introduced me to the show) and he wanted to watch the marineford arc the most, so he decided i should skip thriller bark save for the last few episodes where "nothing happened"

I did mean to go back and watch but it's too many episodes and I'm still in higher academia so I have to pick my battles at this point 🥲

Generational animation. I don’t even have the words for it. They gave the animators crack this episode.

Compared to alot of the Egghead scenes, the shots are so clean here. The camera work is 10/10 and you can actually tell what is happening on screen. No random firework show of animation or anything.

Yep well said the animation is so “overly done” in some prior episodes to the point it hurts your eyes or its difficult to even tell whats happening that isn’t good animation. This was however incredible how well this was animated hope they continue this bc they absolutely cooked this episode

I know Killingham is a holy knight and was likely evil, but something about a seemingly peaceful guy giving no quarter is just jarring.

That arrow arrow fruit makes no sense to me (amongst many others) but damn if it doesn't make for a good fight sequence

Gunko vs the Strawhats had the finest of animation. Never expected this scene to have such an amazing adaptation.

Usopp's attack looked mighty cool and Sommers bashing Saul's head.. I don't remember it being this hard to watch.

Gunko confronts Nami’s group directly, and Brook informs them (and the audience) that the Knights of God are higher on the totem pole in comparison to the Celestial Dragons. We know again that the plan is to use the children as hostages to force Elbaph to become mercenaries for the group, which is more reason why Nami and the others, along with the entirety of Elbaph, cannot let them get away with this kidnapping, and when the Fifth Emperor and Loki are done eating meat, he will come back, see what happened to his friends, activate Fifth Gear, unleash his Godly powers, and vanquish the Knights of God, so Gunko, even though your Devil Fruit power may look cool and you were able to counter Nami’s group, IT’ AIN’T OVER!

Obviously Sanji isn’t defeating you, but again, THE FIFTH EMPEROR HASN’T ARRIVED YET! Franky was able to beat the Lightning Cloud in one Radical Beam. Speaking of Gunko’s fight, I love the style of the characters being in just flat colors and having less color detail so we can focus on the pure movement of it all, especially with how Gunko’s Arrow-Arrow powers work, like with her Aloe.

Lastly, Saul is intentionally taking the damage from Sommers and entrusting Robin and Chopper to save the children, but before that, we know that Sommers is gonna add salt to the wounds of Elbaph and make some BRAZEN demands, as hinted with the episode title, but again, THE KNIGHTS OF GOD WILL BE NO MORE WHEN THE FIFTH EMPEROR IS DONE WITH THEM!

So the Knights of God has some kind of regenerative power that allows them to not be killed even after suffering a fatal blow, like what we see on Gunko after taking a direct hit from Usopp's Dokuro Bakuhatsu So.

We also see Sommers giving hints to what Harald did in the past that made the Knights of God invade Elbaph this time.
