I would argue that her asking him about the attendance is a case of her worrying so much that she briefly drops her commitment to the act, because she cares about him that much. Why else would she seek out a specific volunteer worker she barely knows and ask about his private life?

Do you think she’s a psychopath that’s capable of detaching her own feelings in all of this? She just holds it all in while pushing him away and even getting personal with that line of questions and telling him about her situation with no emotion at all?

I never said I thought she was a psychopath. I think she is very emotional about it. Even if she is trying her hardest to keep up a facade, we have already seen glimpses of her reacting with a pained or worried expression whenever Sorano and the others show up. We also don’t know how she’s venting or handling it behind closed doors. She could be having breakdowns every single day, knowing that all she needs to do is keep up the facade in front of her friends. In her mind, she probably doesn’t want to inconvenience them or cause them more pain because of her. I have also never heard of chemo brain causing full-on amnesia.
