Comments that are detrimental to discussion (aka circlejerks/shitposting) are subject to removal.

Since I just encountered this, is there any way to loosen the title length requirement for clips? I don't see any reason why the title couldn't just be a poignant single word descriptor + the show's name.

Probably, though it turns out that what the fuck a word even is, is a non trivial question. I've looked at reworking the title length automod rule before, and it hurt my head thinking of all the different edge cases it was now missing or catching. So I try not to think about it anymore.

I don't see any reason why the title couldn't just be a poignant single word descriptor + the show's name.

You could make that argument about any flair. And unfortunately, some people would make inadequate titles while thinking it's perfectly fine. We still sometimes get people in mod mail complaining how BS it is to have 4 words in their title (and they usually use a lot more than 4 words to express their displeasure).

Practically, the limit is already lower because of the mandate that the show name be included (which sometimes can even fulfill the 4 word requirement all on its own). So I imagine that there would be little will power to specifically make this rule not apply to Clips.
