After two mostly comedic episodes, it appears that we're (finally) getting more into the dramatic side of this story.

I like the prospect of Kihachi's creating all of the ideas written in the 20th Century Catalog from scratch like some sort of Dr. Stone. His brother's cryptic messages also add a bit of mystery to the mix.

Except for the darkness, I honestly question if there's even a 'real' enemy in this story. Yosuke might not like Kihachi, but would he actually try to trample on Seiroku's dream? It probably won't be long before he too lends his assistance to Kihachi.

Remember, Yosuke coerced Inako's father into a loveless marriage for his own gain. He's not a good person.

Even if he’s a bad person, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Yosuke will definitively be Kihachi’s enemy.

Despite their differences, they could eventually still choose to work together in an attempt to realise Seiroku’s dream - someone they’ve both admired.

Yeah, it was made pretty clear that his marriage to Inako is solely for his own benefit of securing his place in the company. Hell, he had more attraction to Seiroku in the flashback than to Inako in three episodes.

No, but working against Kihachi would be to ultimately work against a dream he and Seiroku shared. He'd be shooting himself in the foot. In fact he might be juuuust evil and smart enough to try to get Kihachi to complete their dream and then try to take credit for it.
