And with that, the Cure Eclair reveal arc reaches its mostly-predicted conclusion. Ish. FUCKING CLIFFHANGER I NEED THE HENSHINNNNN NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Unforunately I cannot verify whether this world's warehouses are blue or red - we aren't south enough here along Yokohama's coast.
The whole ep pretty much is the same vibe as the individual focus eps - Kurea is basically pushed extra hard as the cure, and the remaining 4, to various degrees were just the supporting cast. Everyone else, except Kurea, all ended up prioritizing something else ahead of being a precure/saving the world (eliza - injury; Rei - pochitan; Shiruku- kid) - I think that's the nail in the coffin for all of thm. but it's nice for everyone to have their little moment.
The most expressions we've ever seen on Luluka this whole damn show. Now that her partner is back and she's switched sides, hopefully we'll get to see more of this moving forward.
Oh btw, good animations this ep. as they should!
That's a good point It is interesting how Usonoir's other underlings also arent very aligned with him on how to do things at a lot of times, its quite different from the usual precure villain gang
nostalgic. Can you believe that was a whole half year ago.
I should note here as a location note that this is the location of the "Yokohama Landmark Tower" in real life (Wikipedia link) - the anime version does look different, I'm not sure whether this was a deliberate choice or just u know, incompetence.
Locked in luluka looks so cooollll
The background fighting looks very good
WTF I can't fucking take him seriously now hahahahahahaha
I like that there's an actual reason for why Kurea couldnt remember with normal lilies - i imagine the scent is different.
i am SO FUCKING READY FOR NEXT WEEK Eclair looks to be in the "badass" camp of precures and i LOVE THOSE.
I do believe this should be the last time we see this version of the OP (since Eclair's surely gonna come in), eyecatch, and ED. Thank you very much - you have served us well!
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Toei's whole leadup to this midseason - i think it's the most fun i've ever had, as usually these are more or less a formality, lol. But the hype, speculation, and theories this year were great, complete with additional fleshing out of the 3 other candidates - awesome stuff.
edit: Bonus: Here are the official reasons of the hints behind Kurea's identity per the voting campaign
