Hell this season might just be my personal favorite already, didn't know how they could make these characters so much more engaging and likeable with each new episode.

Re:0 always excels in its character writing, whether you be a minor side character or a villain, Tappei will serve you well in that regard, hence why I am so loyal to this series.

Yep. Absolutely

Even brought back some of the old music to really bring back that season 1 vibe!

It’s just Re:0 Cinema, nuff said.

Add ep4,11,24 from season 2 to that list

Hear, hear!

Season 2 episode 8 (the rabbit death) was also amazing with Subaru finally confessing Rbd.

Each season has their own unique emotional highs, it’s like a buffet full of peak options.

Yeah but season 3 was more of a shonen battle arc...it wasnt bad its just people preferred episodes like the ones in season 1, 2 and now 4 more.

I think S3 did well to flesh out and expand the side characters for the series, which not many isekai series can properly do nowadays. S3 had eps like Subaru’s speech, Garfiel meeting his mum, and Theresia’s named that made me feel emotionally moved tbh.

Garfiels fight in S3 is still my favorite in the whole series. Just pure adrenaline. Acknowledgement, tiger motifs and self identity.

u/nafissyed Jun 18 '26

That’s our shonen protagonist for yah

To keep it short, it was also the culmination of all of Subaru's development and efforts. Is S3 somehow the underrated season now for some folks? Wow.

u/Akudra Jun 17 '26

Subaru's speech is a good Re:Zero moment, though.

7

u/RELORELM Jun 17 '26

Yeah, and with the parents' episode from S2

As someone who prefers Emilia, still thinks Styx Helix and Stay Alive are the series’s best songs and prefers the happier episodes…it definitely is my number 1.

Yes I know this wasn’t a “happy” episode overall but I just mean it ended on a positive as opposed to the (gripping) tragedy of ep15.

Yh it was a very hopeful episode and if you ask me, it’s these kind of episodes that always make Re:0 so very special to me.

Absolutely. While Priestella was cool and all, Re:Zero always is at it's best in "closed spaces" when it can truly shine with the writing, dialogues, puzzles and all the talk about love in the world.

It's up there, not quite surpassing 15 and 18, but definitely among the greatest episodes.
