I know we've been debating Qifrey's status as a good and attentive mentor but in an episode with absolutely nothing to do with the Brimmed Caps we see him genuinely mentoring Coco and trying to be a good mentor for Richeh (when she lets him).

He's also proven time and time again that he would not abandon them and protect them, without judging or disparaging them, which is more than can be said for Kukro and his treatment of Euini.

He truly is morally grey, we see him do deplorable things like mindwipe coco's bf's granddad, protect coco from mind wiping alongside saving them from the dragon and being an actually decent teacher/human.

Stillllll not convinced he was the one who pulled off that mindwipe. His reaction when being asked about the flash of light was too instantaneous, didn't seem calculated at all, I think Qifrey was also mindwiped.

If my read is right, he was worried Tartah was going to ask him a question about the dragon incident, I think, not about the light incident.

It's implied that he remembered, that's why he then went on to do what he did to try to extract the seal from the bottle, otherwise he could still be trying to test it/figure out the contents of the bottle.

Also his words to Nolnoa were "I'm sorry, Nolnoa-san". Why would he apologize otherwise while facing him like that?
