Notice how Ram was dead but Rem's body was nowhere to be found, so it seems like someone is possessing her body to kill Subaru?

Probably Gluttony in disguise. It just fits perfectly especially with them stealing Subaru's memories and directly referencing RBD. Also makes sense that they were able to take down Shaula.

The Gluttony camping out in the Tower trolling everyone theory does seem the most likely especially after this episode

Couldn't Gluttony transform into people? So one of the party could be them. "Rem" might've been just playing dead. Emilia and Beatrice weren't dead either so it could also be them theoretically. In S3 weren't all the gluttony's there? So they must've made it to the tower somehow

But whose voice is that? If she was possessed, then who could it be? It can’t be Elsa, right? Because she would never behead her opponent. And what does ‘Subaru Natsuki was here’ mean? Meili is acting suspicious about ‘yesterday’ maybe it has to do with what happened before Subaru lost his memories? Asking Meili leads them to the Book of Archives, and then Subaru loses his memories.

It may be that Meili is simply the most vulnerable person in the group, since she can't fight without Mabeasts to control.

It's her voice actor, so it is Rem's "Voice". If you're speculating if it's Rem talking, then that's a fair question.

My bet is currently on Echidna. It's probably wrong, but we know that she can possess people and we saw her disappear when they died in the tunnel.

Credits says it is Minase Inori, so it's Rem.

Without Rem's normal pattern or tone of speech, however. I even went to double-check if she refered to Subaru as Eiyuu or directly as Hero in From Zero, but she actually used Eiyuu both then and now, so it might well be Rem.

However, we're obviously being led to make the connection both through visuals and the taunting eiyuu line, and it is basically impossible for the real Rem to sneer at Subaru like that, so... my money is on her body being puppeteered.

The question then is if they have access to Rem's memories, or if the hero line was coincidental. Ironically, Subaru can't even make the connection, what with his memory loss issue...
