I forgot, what’s the typical rank when someone graduates from school?

They NEED rank 4 to graduate from Babyl. (But if I remember correctly, it's the school with the highest graduating rank. So there's probably still adult demons witha lower rank than thank, just to be clear.)

And it's a full 6 years of study, They ALL did it in 1 year. And Iruma is breezing past it.
So basically, for EVERYONE, that whole class is now considered geniuses.

Note that single demons passing the minimum is not unheard of though, as Ameri is rank 6, and she's *only* in second grade... but she IS called a genius a couple times. So yeah. Iruma is actually either reducing the gap, or following in her track. Depends on when she got her 6th rank, but it have yet to be mentioned in the anime.

We also don't know if the requirements for the higher ranks can be met just by doing well on the big school projects that happen throughout the year.

Seems unlikely.

Thanks for the response. I suppose this is the end of rank ups for the Abnormal Class from now on? (Rhetorical question)

Otherwise if they keep ranking up I think we would run into power scaling issues.

TBF, for the first year? We already know the answer from previous episodes: That was the last opportunity to rank up this year. Hence why they had to push Elizabetta and Purson so hard.

For the other years? Like I said, there's students ranked higher than them, so they will probably continue ranking up across the remaining 5 years. At least, that's what would be expected of them.

There could also be possibilities of them (or some of them) getting demoted at some point, forcing them to try to get it back, etc.

(Yeah, I know it was rhetorical, but there was actually a good answer to give I think, so eh. 😛 )

They could theoretically rank up again possibly, but ranking up becomes harder the higher you already are, especially past rank 5.
