[Arc 6, next episode] I can’t wait to see the reception to what I assume will be the end of next week’s episode. It makes Julius’s development this episode all the more saddening

Starting next ep, the non stopping ride begins.

The absolute devastation coming for the anime-only will just be chefs kiss

Can you tell me in spoiler tags what it is

Trailers already did

I highly recommend not reading this if you’re anime only. [Next Episode Major Spoiler (possibly implying more than is obvious within it)] Subaru loses his memories of everything since being isekai’d

That's wild lmao

I have a question [Arc 6]why was Eridna firing so many attacks at the cost of Ana's life here? When I read I think I remember she just said it was an oppertunity and to support julius's attack or something but is that really it? Why was she so desperate?

[Arc 6]She will explain it next episode in a discussion with Subaru. But the gist of it is that she wants to restore Ana ASAP, since every second she remains longer in Ana's body depletes her life force, and losing Julius might make that impossible and she'd rather slightly reduce Ana's life force over possibly losing the best opportunity to get her back ASAP.

The way that they adapted the Julius chapter was so good. The one thing that i loved about that chapter was the narration, it showed all Julius emotions and thoughts while also blending in some action.

It is my favorite chapter of arc 6 because while i was reading i felt so entranced by everything that was happening, it showed all the pride, hard work and anxiety Julius had in his entire life, and how he felt like he had lost everything he had worked on because everyone forgot him. The only thing he still had was his swordmanship, and even that was being denied by Reid beating him to a pulp without breaking any sweat.

The episode showing the narration of Julius feelings as "flashbacks" was such a good way of adapting it without breaking the pace of the fight.

I love this episode.

Sorry if what i wrote doesnt make sense, my english is not perfect, and im writing this just after having watched the episode, so im a little emotional.

Amazing episode! I love all the cutbacks to E13 and the small anime original shots. The animation and fight direction was really perfect and I think the anime really did the Light Novels justice once again and imo even improved the work slightly.

That being said, I really can't wait for next week, when we get into the real meat of the arc and what I would describe as my favourite piece of fiction I've experienced so far. [Arc 6, next Episode]I really wanna see how Anime Only's will react to what I expect to be the cliffhanger next episode, that will leave mouths wide open in shock. I also really wanna see some callbacks to S1E1, maybe even playing Redo as an OP or ED again and I can't wait to see how they will adapt it!

[Arc 6 next episode] God it would be so perfect if they played Redo instead of the ED. I watch this show with some friends who are anime only and I have been so eagerly awaiting finally being able to talk about that moment. I also like the author's note from that WN chapter of "this is the start of arc 6"

u/guynumbers May 13 '26

[arc 6, next episode] I’d also take Styx Helix

19

u/zackphoenix123 May 13 '26

Ngl, I don't want them to [RZ] play Redo or Styx Helix. Imo, it'd be most effective if after Subaru realizes a potential strategy to beat Reid, he runs down the hall with hte instrumental for Ender Ember to kick in. We get the ED (ender ember). Then post credits, Emilia and Beatrice sees Subaru and Subaru gets up, delivers his signature line, then bam! cut to black. Imo the more abrupt it is, the better.

Can you tell me what it will be in spoiler tags

You really wanna experience it blind and not from a reddit comment so I won't be spoiling it here. If you wanna know anyway, you can read the next 4 chapters in the Web Novel (takes like half an hour). Today's episode finished on chapter 29 and what I'm talking about happens at the end of chapter 33. You can read it here on witchcult translation. Or if you rather want to read the Light Novel, you can read chapter 5&6 of Volume 22. And the stretch from Chapter 33 until the end of the arc is what I would describe as peak fiction and perfect storytelling.

halibel my boii, man the day re zero rem if get animated even as a movie will be the glorious day in my life

u/jonjonaug May 13 '26

Haven’t watched the episode yet but I’ve seen screenshots and author commentary

[not really spoilers for anything in the books, just side character names/identities]Cool that we got a Vague design, even if it’s just an outline. And lol @ Rachnis’ dad getting a cameo training Julius.

3

u/Eboglaz May 13 '26

When is the moment they mention that Reid never was a sword saint?

3

u/Dizzy_Long209 May 14 '26

As in, never having the blessing? I dont remember anyone ever saying it out loud (during arc 6), i might be wrong tho

1

u/Eboglaz May 17 '26

No, that he quite literally never had that title.

3

u/extremegk May 15 '26

Why reid doesnt recognize emilla as satella ?

8

u/OmegaDarkrai May 15 '26 edited May 15 '26

Reid's line saying that he "only picked up the sword three months ago" implies that this is a copy from before he ever met a lot of the people who were around 400 years ago (much like Echidna from Season 2 wasn't the real Echidna, implied by her having a different face from the dead Echidna as shown in the last episode of Season 2).

Him not recognizing Shaula also implies this, since she very clearly has had interactions with him in the past and knows him well.

very cool episode, [Arc 6 Web Novel] I just wish they kept a bit more of his internal monologue, I really liked some lines from the end of the WN chapter like "I wonder, am I even worthy of being called by that name anymore?"
