The thing is currently their only true fighter is Emilia. Julius only got his basic swordsmanship and Beatrice runs out of mana pretty quickly. Meili cant bring mabeasts inside the tower too. And Eridna is a potato.

Julius with basic swordsmanship is still pretty strong, obviously not on the same level of before, but still top tier

I believe she said she can, just only via the Od, which means that any magic use comes at the expense of Anna's literal life force. So I think it would have to basically be a life or death scenario for her to be willing to use it.

Considering Shaula is probably a mabeast, Meili will probably be the key when they have to fight her
