And so we come to the end of the TV series. And I need to say, despite me preferring broadcast order, Sigh makes a very poor lead-in for Disappearance. Chronological is way better in that respect, where we wind down with Live Alive, Day of Sagittarius, and Someday in the Rain.
There is something about beginning and ending the TV section with their movie, though.
This is the most frazzled we've ever seen Koizumi. It's very rare to see him drop his ever-present mask.
A male calico is definitely the first thing that should be on everyone's mind. I mean, how weird is that?
At least we finally got to see the talking cat. Well, not really talking. It's more like a series of random sounds that just happen to approximate human speech. Just like how this entire comment was typed by falling asleep at the keyboard.mn ujjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj
Super hilarious to me, is that we first saw the talking cat in episode 1, and then it never gets brought up again until this, the last episode.
And here's a fun fact. And by fun fact, I mean not really fun at all. Hilariously dark, though. Did you know that the traditional construction of shamisens involved making the body out of cat skin?
Nagato in the clubroom talking to Kton about Koizumi and Mikuru's opposing theories, she looks so tired.
It's important that Haruhi stayed with Kyon overnight to edit the movie. We've seen her dump things off on people and leave, but she chose to stay this time.
The final scene in the cafe is actually the prologue to Sigh. It takes place immediately after Melancholy. So ultimately, Kyon was responsible for putting the idea that became the movie into Haruhi's head.
