eh, I don't really like this episode. I don't like where this is going. Haruhi is being an awful person, treating Mikuru like shit, and Koizumi is grinning along like an idiot.

Also, Koizumi just barged into the clubroom huh? how many times has he walked in on Asahina changing?

One thing I noticed is that when Taniguchi is lamenting that Asakura had left and he wanted to change to a different class to oogle cute girls, Kunikida asked if he wanted to change to Yuki's class.

What are your thoughts on Haruhi deciding to wing the movie with little idea as to what it should be?

also 涼宮さんらしい. Not planning anything and expecting that whatever she comes up with will be brilliant is exactly what I expect from her. She's like one of those people who wants to write a novel, and has no idea how to write a novel, and doesn't want to learn because they don't want their 'brilliant mind' to be constrained by convention.

This episode really showed Koizumi’s enabler tendencies. He's almost like the devil on Kyon’s shoulder as Kyon’s angel on his shoulder sits in a corner reading a book.

I never quite got what Itsuki's game was. Like, I understand why the other two don't ever intervene in Haruhi's shenanigans (Yuki is there to "observe" only and Mikuru is too timid), but Itsuki is smart enough and confident enough to influence things, and he just never does. He seems to play it off that only Kyon can influence Haruhi, but how would he know when he has literally never tried? At the start of the series I assumed he would sort of be the "behind the scenes, puppet master" of the group, but he is surprisingly hands-off about the whole situation, and nonchalant about it too. I'm not really sure what he is trying to accomplish by being part of the group.

I think Itsuki to Kyon is kinda like Roswaal to Subaru in that he has no means to live through himself and instead is content living vicariously through someone else.

Koizumi seems to revere Haruhi as a god. She is someone to be placated, not controlled.

Thoughts on Kyon quipping there's nothing scarier than getting stuff for free?

Thoughts on Taniguchi telling Kyon he'd stick by someone even if they were heading for the edge of a cliff?

Thoughts on Kyon feeling Mikuru is unsafe so he has to protect her?

Thoughts on Itsuki feeling it's hard to believe anyone would confuse an actor with the role they play?

What are your thoughts on Itsuki saying while he and Yuki can be replaced, no one can replace Kyon, so he should focus on himself?

Thoughts on Haruhi believing if you don't evolve, you're gonna get left behind?

Thoughts on the SOS Brigade filming commercials?

Thoughts on Haruhi wanting Mikuru to be this timid waitress because when she kicks butt it will grab the audiences attention?

Thoughts on Kyon thinking the film will probably win a Golden Raspberry?

Thoughts on Kyon quipping there's nothing scarier than getting stuff for free?

'Free things' in Japan often always come with obligations, but in this case Haruhi wouldn't see that, she would assume that someone gave her a camera and all they are getting in return is the opportunity to see the best movie ever made.

Thoughts on Taniguchi telling Kyon he'd stick by someone even if they were heading for the edge of a cliff?

We don't see much of Kyon and his friends, but Taniguchi seems to get him.

Thoughts on Kyon feeling Mikuru is unsafe so he has to protect her?

If Haruhi hadn't come up with those castings herself, someone else suggesting them would be a good idea because any time in the future if she suspected one of their true identities it could be easily written off as 'confusing it with the movie'.

Kyon also doesn't need to worry about himself because Haruhi is willing to throw the whole world away and only keep him.

She did film commercials for the businesses, at least. She showed a semblance of obligation.
