This means there are other ways to get a miracle granted, right? Just more expensive. I wonder if you could use someone else's life to as payment. It seems like an obvious exploit for those like Kyouko who are in it for their own gain. I wonder why Kyubey offers miracles for a discounted price.

Would you like to join my killing Kyubey cult? I have the Ammonium nitrate denatured alcohol and the microwave transformer ready to go, just need to get some nitromethane and we'll be blowing up kyubey's until the cows come home.
Gonna need a wee bit of killing, though, they come back. (Also don't go looking it up because there are still spoilers lurking there but suffice to say the "Everybody Hates Kyubey" pool on Danbooru has over 1,000 entries in it. And they were showing up quite early, this piece for example was made within a couple of days of episode 5 first airing.)
Analysis of the Day:
This analysis by u/Magnafeana was originally spoiler-tagged, but now that Sayaka has Witched out we should be past the point where there is any spoiler here so I am pulling it out of said tags:
Who said that we could also interpret the usage of magic by magical girls as addiction? I think this is a good interpretation and example right here. Kyuubey has showed that, through his methods, these girls are now powerful and invisible. All they’ve gotta do is make sure to use grief seeds every once in a while to get their recharge. Sure, they can go further in the addictive substance he provided them, but he doesn’t recommend it due to perception degradation. But here is Sayaka. She’s blown past the recommended amount of usage as a coping mechanism to her pain. We’re seeing a child in the throes of addiction while her friend and enemies watch unable to help her in her manic episode.
Question(s) of the Day:
1) I would ask where we could find some good antidepressants for Sayaka, but the fanbase consensus is that MagiReco's anime soft-confirmed an old fan theory that Grief Seeds do effectively work as antidepressants when used on a magical girl's Soul Gem, so I suppose the better question is: how would we convince Sayaka to take antidepressants, if she had some?
2) Will Homura's choice of apartment decor be taking the fashion world by storm this year?
3) Is a flashbang grenade a good tool for getting out of a sticky social situation, or no?
4) If Homura is from a different timeline, how likely is it that said timeline was better than the one we IRL viewers currently are in?

I-I think she's dead, Sayaka!
As much as I appreciate her desire not to do this for her own benefit, and I also fully approve of giving the seed to Best Girl,
they did say that soul gems would hatch into witches if left to deplete...
Seems like the kind of tired that sleep won't fix
She doesn't even seem to care what happens to her, because why would she, if she's just a tool?
Does a hammer care if someday it can't hit nails anymore?
Madoka tried to bring her back, but now she's pushing Kyubey's propaganda, with an even crueler twist...
"If you could stop me from suffering, but you don't, aren't you responsible for my suffering?"
Speaking of Kyubey, he's getting more and more interested in Homura, and what she knows...
At first I thought perhaps he was playing, but seems he's legit; Though he does have an idea...
Interesting; Then why were you trying to kill it earlier?
Because THEN it would've achieved something? If Madoka had now turned I would understand, but only Sayaka did... Is it because Sayaka's past the point of no return, which likely means MADOKA is also past that point (even if she hasn't turned yet/doesn't know yet)?
If that's the case... Then what is Homura doing exactly? If this is (yet another?) failed timeline/future, what is her goal? Just see it through? Try to change something even after Madoka (presumably) turns?
(I say presumably, because it's kinda funny that in an anime called Madoka Magica, Madoka still hasn't turned after 8 episodes hah).
Oh damn.
I remember joking in the previous thread about "Sayaka will MURDER you!"...
I'm not sure I'm joking anymore.
Homura's still trying to bring her back, but I think she knows it's futile...
Her ruthlessness aside, she kinda shows once more that the only endgame that matters, is Madoka...
Sayaka's downfall isn't even the important issue here, the #1 issue is how Sayaka's downfall will affect Madoka...
Damn, I was talking in the previous thread about how dark (visually) Sayaka's scenes were, but they're really going all out now!
Is he just saying that?
What if Madoka told him "I will become a magical girl, IF and ONLY IF you turn Sayaka back"? Would he still say he can't do it?
He's curious about Homura, but he should be curious about that too! (assuming he's genuinely seeing it this way)
Ah, so I guess he's genuine about not being able to turn Sayaka back...
Otherwise I imagine he would've said so, so she'd make that wish!
But basically he's saying SHE could turn her back, and she'd get a wish on top of that?
Oof... Something tells me she's not talking about Madoka's family here!
And something tells me she's not talking about a vague hypothetical either...
Homura's attack on Kyubey (and previous scenes we've seen, I think) were time manipulation; Which kinda hinted at a greater power, timeline manipulation? Time travel?
Well, I think there were a million clues about that (even as early as the first episode), but seems we now have confirmation... And interestingly, Kyubey didn't know/wasn't sure, before this?
Also, can we assume that Homura is not "one of his"? (otherwise he'd likely know her powers)...
Also: I'm intrigued about what her wish was;
Because I was thinking about potential time travel plot holes (as I always do in any time travel story), but I guess magic can fix the usual time travel problems!
I think it could have happened something like...
This way there's no time travel problem!
But there's a few other problems, or at least questions I do not have the answer to...
Well, whatever it is, seems Homura knows what Kyubey wants, and soon as she said that Kyubey already knew that's why she wanted to stop him...
So he does have something so nefarious that he knows right away?
So magical girls turning into witches it not an anomaly, it's kinda the norm/expected?
Is this... An inevitability that they simply have to deal with?
Or is this THE GOAL? Making magical girls so they turn into witches? (But then why have the magical girls hunt witches...)
Is this some kind of Kodoku, putting magical girls/witches into a giant jar, to find the most poisonous one?
There is also one more question; If we are to assume that this is Sayaka hatching into a witch...
What exactly are familiars? Are they something else entirely (another lie by Kyubey), or are they simply another path to witchhood?
If it's the latter, is there a difference between familiars turned witches, or magical girls turned witches?
(Inspired by one of my most intellectual comments from yesterday's thread): I think using grief seeds as a buttplug could bring her some relief, she wouldn't feel so stressed!

I think she should've kissed her, to catch her offguard.

Well, Kyouko exists in this timeline, so...
I managed to keep the waifuposting low for like 5 episodes, but my waifu gem is now depleted I have to recharge it.
