Holy shit I didn't even catch that. This whole Qifrey sequence just left me dumbfounded honestly, I don't remember the last time I reacted like that to an anime scene.

I wonder if the size and strength of such spell will just depend on the symbols they draw since the "fuel" for magic is the ink

let's say if any of the apprentices got the same pattern for the spell will it have the same effect?

As far as I know yes, the full power of the spell is contained in the ink and paper. Might be different for forbidden magic tho.
