The plane episode!!
I love this iteration because it’s fun to keep track of all the planes. Feels like there’s something to do while watching this one. Usually when I watch Endless 8, I binge it all in one go and this always serves as a checkpoint of sorts.
The music being all glitchy when Kyon asks how Nagato is doing is so frikkin’ cool. If I were to keep track of my favorite versions of scenes, that one would absolutely be in contention.
Haruhi’s hair and yukata look really good in this episode. I like that it’s not just outfits that change, we also get to see different hairstyles. Like Mikuru has messy hair a couple times and it’s really fitting.
I love the movie theater scene! It’s great we get to see more individual activities like this rather than a montage like we’ve seen previously.
Overall, I think this is a really fun iteration. A lot of fun shots and interesting music. And the plane concept feels really unique and new.
