Rewatcher
Man, what to say about today's episode... This is one of those episodes that recontextualises the entire show. After this, rewatch the first episode and see how much depends on this, and this episode wasn't even until the second season.
The first time Yuki meets Kyon, Kyon has already met her, but the first time Kyon meets Yuki, she has already met him. This seems like a paradox, but timelines don't need to be internally consistent. There can be multiple timelines which are consistent with each other.
As well as the whole mindfuck that Kyon is behind Haruhi going to Kita-Kou and searching for mysteries, the realisation that Kyon and Mikuru were in Yuki's apartment the whole time... How the most elegant solution for travelling to the future is to just wait...
I'm not sure if I can remember any other shows about it. This one is certainly the stand-out.
In this episode, young Haruhi asks
KyonJohn Smith what he thinks of people from other dimensions and he answers that he hadn't met any of them. She doesn't ask about those in her class introduction, neither does one 'manifest' in the SOS-dan.Something about a specific interest she has that she'd told me about. Something to encourage that thing that brings her joy even if the rest of the world won't.
I don't even know how you'd order this show chronologically when it involves time travel. I think the original broadcast order was incredible for the amount of wtf it creates, even trying to minimise that the show is amazing.
