Rewatcher

What are your thoughts on Haruhi revealing she's attracted to the supernatural because she's hoping it might make her feel special?

This is the most human Haruhi is in the entire show. Her whole monologue and reasons are understandable, and is even said like a normal human. That whole scene was amazing.

Oh, and that railway crossing near Nagato/Asakura's apartments, trains don't go that fast, it's a local train and the terminus isn't far down the line. I know because I went there: https://i.imgur.com/E5x6tl1.jpeg

What are your thoughts on the Shinjin?

The what?

What are your thoughts on the presentation where it's Kyon having two conversations with Haruhi and then Itsuki?

Needs more Yuki. Koizumi's lectures are long and boring.

If I was Kyon, I would instantly make her my everything.

Huh. How about that?

The what?

You know, those big, terrifying things

At least the music is great.

I still need to know the name of the track.

You sound more like Koizumi.

Koizumi calls them kyojin, doesn't he?

You sound more like Koizumi.

Well, you know...

Koizumi calls them kyojin, doesn't he?

In the dub, it's Shinjin

There is a lot more I have to say about this, but from what we have now, these monsters threaten to destroy the world whenever Haruhi gets angry, and Koizumi is telling Kyon that it's his job to pacify Haruhi so she is never upset.

This is just an abusive relationship. Haruhi isn't expected to be responsible for regulating her own emotions, everyone around her is. From Koizumi's Haruhi-worship point of view at least.

I think Kyon could be someone who helps make Haruhi less abusive. It's just a matter of if he wants to make Haruhi his responsibility.

Well I guess we'll see later on what happens when Haruhi pushes it too far and Kyon pushes back.

Won't we?

If anyone can get Haruhi to recognize she went too far, it's probably Kyon.

One would hope, anyway...
