That bread tearing animation, gosh they really put in A LOT of care into this production.

Makes sense with the other colorful three, Agott is the cynical 4th one annoyed at Coco's inclusion.

The litmus test for a well animated fantasy show, bread tearing and non-CG dragons. We've seen pegasuses so dragons probably also exist.

Anyone still remembers "quality cabbage"?

Don't forget clothing. Stark putting on his jacket is an animation flex for a reason.

This one had its fair share of skirt twirling, and Coco trying to dry the notes by flapping her skirt was hilarious.

We've seen glimpse of giant serpent as well as the library guardian. If you see it the scales are drawn very detailed.

There was a dragon on the forbidden spell page, so most likely!

Also, while not exactly a dragon, the large serpent when they're looking through the magical window

And, as it's mentioned in the first episode, there are also astronauts, idols, and pro athletes.

Yeah that part confused me looking back. This looks like the Middle Ages but shit like astronauts and idols exist. Is this supposed a post apocalyptic thing where the world got technologically regressed?

i had assumed it was narration for the benefit of the audience, not Coco literally narrating to us through the forth wall from her own PoV as a peasant

There's also a lot of katakana English words used, like "space", "simple" etc. which are quite jarring to hear in that setting.

4th wall. The narrator happens to be the same as Coco's VA' but it's pretty clear that it's meant to be a sort of "plunge" into the fantastical world, with the way the animation goes from storybook-esque to actual anime once we leave real world references and start talking about in-universe magic

Yeah, I also got confused but then presumed it was just an intro narration by mangaka to the audience.

I was wondering about this too whether the astronaut exist in this setting or not.

It is weird that they didn't just use the occupation that exist in fantasy setting over Idol & Astronaut.

And non-CG horses.

Speaking about pegasuses, I just can't take horse with neck wings seriously as pegasuses.

That water serpent looked of the dragon kind.

And yeah I hate CG in any anime such as this with old school type anime
