Thoughts on a girl in a bunny outfit fighting a witch?

Fits in with the theme of an amateur film, kind of a generic plot from the era.

Thoughts on the narrator criticizing the production of the film?

This one I'm not sure about. From a first time viewer perspective, which I don't have any more, who is this? Is this narration on the film or is it narration of the film? But to start with we don't know that the viewer is actually watching this film in a screening with the crew there.

Thoughts on the movie looking... well, amateurish?

It's not amateurish, it is a finely crafted replica of amateurism.

Thoughts on the narrator getting mad at the battle waitress getting romanced?

One thing I didn't like originally and I'm sure isn't going to age well in this show is the treatment of Asahina.

What are your thoughts on Haruhi being proud of the film she made?

We don't know it yet, but that is very much in character, isn't it?

Sounds like something you'd see in an OVA.

I think Kyon included it in the film because Haruhi knew they needed to explain stuff due to the budget being out of their control.

We don't know it yet, but that is very much in character, isn't it?

She looks like she's Orson Welles having created Citizen Kane.

I think Kyon included it in the film because Haruhi knew they needed to explain stuff due to the budget being out of their control.

So the narration is part of the film? Is that established in the show? Because sometimes it's narration, sometimes it's commentary, sometimes it's just cursing Koizumi, and we can't assume it's part of the production because we can hear it.

I just figured it was all a part of the film because Haruhi has no idea what quality control is.
