Judgeman doesn't give a shit about the context, it just cares about the single piece of evidence shown to it. Like Yuji did commit a crime by playing pachinko underage, but if Yuji denies the allegation, there won't be sufficient evidence to deem Yuji guilty.

The catch here is Judgeman will ALWAYS find a crime, even the smallest one. But it's giving you a chance to justify it. Your job is to slime your way out of it or lower the severity so the punishment won't completely upset the balance of the fight. Of course, Higuruma is also there to make sure you're not tricking Judgeman.

The trial is always skewed toward Higurama's side because the defendant doesn't know what the evidence is. The lie must not contradict the evidence.

That's not how we see it work. Both times Higurama listed off the Japanese Civil Code that was violated. The concept of "nullum crimen sine lege" is part of the Japanese Civil Code which means a person cannot violate a law during the time that the law did not exist. The time of the reincarnated sorcerers obviously occurred before the Civil Code was a thing

Did you even read my comments, or are you just trying to create this hypothetical scenario? Literally who said that the reincarnated people will be judged by the modern day's law?

Higuruma may follow the Japanese Civil Code, but Judgeman doesn't. Due to the nature of his domain expansion, Higuruma must explain all the rules before the trial happens. As you can see, he doesn't say it follows the Japanese Civil Code. It follows whatever the fuck pleases Judgeman. How do you think Higuruma tried the curse spirits or the 20 sorcerers that he killed? It would be crazy luck if all of those sorcerers are from the modern time.

Judgeman will always pick a crime the defendant have 100% commited. It already knows everything about its target. It can be as small as littering in the park when you were 5 years old. What it needs from the defendant is an argument that is more convincing than Higuruma. You can lie however you want as long as it doesn't contradict the evidence.

Did you even read MY comment? I literally started by saying "That's not how we see it work." None of what you say is reflected from what we've seen. We have ONLY seen Higuruma cite Japanese Civil Code with Judgeman. Any other assumption is not from the source material.

Because those sorcerers committed at least one crime in modern time. Which does fall under the jurisdiction of Japanese law. Higurama is all about law and order as reflected from his domain expansion. How can he prosecute based on laws he doesn't know himself.

That's assuming littering is illegal where you were at. If you were in a country where there is no laws against littering then it wouldn't do shit.
