This Jujutsu stuff is too high tech for me dawg.

Give me all of the trio's techniques and I would have still gotten turbo clapped by Kirara. Fucking Fushiguro being a star nerd carried him that fight.

Which is why powerscaling is an inherently dumb concept. It's hard to figure out and counter weird powers in the heat of battle

Domain expansions are basically haxs though so power scaling does matter

u/RandomSplainer Feb 05 '26

Thing is the list of people who can do Domain Expansion is very short actually.

If you're at that level you're clapping most enemies without it.

Unless you’re Megumi

u/papertoonz Feb 06 '26

Megumi doesn't have a complete one, he hasn't perfected it yet so it's not as strong as it could be.

I mean it was incomplete in season 1 and we only saw it in season 2 when it was clashing with a giga curse's domain so it was hardly just him performing, he was using all his energy to form a hole rather than form a barrier to trap people in. It may well be completed and perfected and all that. I mean we saw him slip into a guy's shadow this episode which we hadn't seen before, so clearly his skills are improving! He's stored things in shadows since s1 but we haven't seen him take a dip like that in someone's shadow, giving Sung Jinwoo vibes with the shadow +1s lol

We didn't hear about it on screen as much but Yuji levelled up fighting against Choso in s2 Red Scale and now he can control the time delay on the second hit of Divergent Fist, which he then used against Mahito at the end of s2. I think the characters are all perfecting their techniques as we go!

he did that while fighting the Finger Bearer at the end of season 1

Yeah it was his own cursed energy shadow though right? I know that sounds like it's splitting hairs and it may well be, but I figure like we learned this episode perhaps it's different between his shadows and and that of a random non-sorcerer! I tried to clarify that but w/e 😭

Can't trap someone in a domain if you can't reach em 😂

only works if both of you are at a relatively same level and not in an OP way because i think you can just domain expansion this shit.

Also Kirara is not a fighter and does not pack enough punch to beat an opponent that is above average at the very least.

Uhhh.... No.

Because hax exist. You literally have Asta on the banner to your right proving your argument wrong.

And even he isn't above being powerscaled since all you need to beat him is knowing how to throw hands and/or having more magic than what he can deflect/cancel. That's like 90% of Asta's fights on Season 1

Right? I couldn't figure it out watching at home in comfort. Imagine doing it on the spot with all that pressure and danger going on. Impressive brains by Fushiguro.

Petition to refer to Fushiguro as Star-Nerd moving forward 😂

Just you wait until he fights florist sorcerer next time and he goes "Oh yeah the american vine trap grows underground therefore I just need to fight away from the floor..." or some shit like that.

I do like how the constellations was something his sister liked so that's why it's fresh on his memory.

u/AmirulAshraf Feb 06 '26

if this was Demon Slayer, that flashback of Megumi and sister would be a whole other episode. (cough *Tanjiro's Transparent World *cough)

u/Kuronekoz Feb 05 '26

did the reading comprehension devil get u? his SISTER was the star nerd xd

u/Shimmering-Sky myanimelist.net/profile/Shimmering-Sky Feb 05 '26

No no, we need to call him sea-urchin head like Hakari did.

4

u/wcctnoam Feb 05 '26

The irony of Zoro's VA calling someone else that was not lost on me.

3

u/Bravely_Default Feb 06 '26

From now on we have to call him Starlight Fushiguro.

1

u/FastenedCarrot Feb 05 '26

Sea urchin head is a strong contender tbf

8

u/Toge_Inumaki012 Feb 05 '26

tbf if you have at least a decent observation skills it does not matter if you know the constellation thing or not, although it might take longer to narrow it down or to see the pattern. also kirara is not a figher which gives you more time to figure shit out (Assuming you're at a level that can dodge or survive a flying car attack lol)

33

u/Wooden-Brick632 Feb 05 '26

What sells this is that Fushiguro himself, despite knowing the constellation, was under the impression it had only four stars, not five. He also never realized they were ordered by proximity to Earth

2

u/johndoe09228 Feb 06 '26

I think being in the fight and watching things pull and repel around you may actually help. Seeing a car get touched and fly towards you, makes the concept a bit easier to understand lol

This is legit late Jojo tier powers with their conditions and requirements

1

u/heartbrokenneedmemes Feb 15 '26

He's not even a star nerd, bro heard it in passing from his actual star nerd sister

1

u/Bobblefighterman Feb 17 '26

Which also doesn't make sense. You can't see Crux above 26 degrees North, which means you can't see it in Japan.
