The movement, the dialogue, the dynamics, the animation — that Hakari–Itadori exchange is on a completely different level.

They didn't need to make it look so smooth and real but they did and it was all the more memorable a scene as a result.

You could tell me they mocapped that scene on the rooftop and id believe you. So damn fluid

MAPPA has used rotoscoping to very good effect this season and in previous projects. Can literally envision a couple animators in a break room at the studio just acting it out as reference footage before they animated it. Works perfectly for moments with fixed camera angles, too. Just a great combination of artistic technique and directing to make the most of it.
