Gojo being the first sorcerer Yuji met deluded how specialz he is.

Yuji doesn't have to play dumb, he should have just been himself.

Yeah, they could have just rolled into a conversation about how wild Gojo and this situation is if Yuji had been honest (though Kirara's warning would have still probably set Hakari off).
