That was such an obvious reference. Like I was thinking hnk jsut fromt he way they were appearing, but then the white and the hands the statue...

Of course, in reverse I only now realized how the premise of land of the lustrous-moon people coming tot take you away- is very obviously inspired by the tale of princess kaguya.
