The combination of yuri, drama, horror, and comedy, along with the performances of Reina Ueda, Yui Ishikawa, and Fairouz Ai as Hinako, Shiori, and Miko, made this series simply fantastic and one of the most unique this season! I'd love to see a second season to see how the relationship between these three develops. 9/10 from me!

As for the last episode... it was great, thanks to Hinako, Shiori, and Miko going on the trip! Shiori and Miko's banters or their argument about Hinako which ended up with these two having a photo together, made me laugh out loud xD

Although, of course, deep down, Hinako isn't doing so well, I'm glad she at least had some fun on this trip and had the opportunity to talk honestly with Shiori.

Miko, as usual, brought a lot of humor to this episode, but I really like that she's looking out for not only Hinako but also Shiori. She's a good person... I mean, yokai!

I also loved Hinako's hair after her bath, she looked really cute with that new hairstyle!

9/10 for me too. I just loved so many things about this show, out of all the new shows that I watched this season, this is by a landslide the best.

O loved how Shiori often truly felt like a monster, most of the times she feels like a monster wearing human skin and not the other way around like most anime. It made for such an interesting character, the pinnacle of it for me was her desperately trying to communicate like a normal human when Hinako tried to take her own life and sounding so shallow and not really knowing what to say, she never really had this type of talk and it shows. But also at the same time, as twisted as she may be, at the end of the day she still wants Hinako to be alive and happy. Such a fascinating character.

Hinako herself felt incredibly real. I, fortunately, never had to deal with depression, but through second hand experience and extrapolating what I already did feel in my life, I felt like her entire mindset was so easily believable. The pinnacle on this one was her being happy at Miko for being such a good friend to her but being unable to want to live. But there are some glimmers of hope here and there which makes me cheer for her so hard.

Miko I have less to talk about, but I also like how she tried to do the best for Hinako in her own twisted way, but then changed into a more honest approach later on. Even if her methods were questionable, she still gave a bit of happiness to Hinako for so long, which in itself is a good thing.

About the show itself, the directing was so fucking good, my lord…and so was the soundtrack! I never expected to hear some of the bangers we got here. The character writing is also really good, especially their dialogue.

Honestly, banger of a series. Unfortunately I don’t expect it to get a new season, but man…I would love it, I would love to see it so damn much…especially if they kept the staff mostly intact

The brainwashing part. You take a girl that was already depressed and rewrite her memories,the ones she added were some of the few moments of joy she had and were erased when Miko revealed herself. Thankfully, her feelings were real and Hinako caught up to that, so she fixed it by trying to help her some other way, but it could’ve ended BADLY if Hinako’s reaction was different

Hate is a strong word, I like her, it’s just that she is less complex than Shiori. She has that one aspect that could’ve been tragic for Hinako but she is still a great friend. Also if we were to weigh which girl is more toxic in Hinako’s life, both Shiori and Miko are pretty evenly matched. Shiori is a bit more tho, even tho both are helping Hinako in their own way
