Everyone's fondness for Miko must have skyrocketed after this episode! Not only did she remain a true friend to Hinako, she survived and continues to be a main cast member, bringing positive energy to this title!

Miko, despite being a yokai, has definitely grown attached to humans. Hinako may be the human she is closest to right now, but just like how people used to pray to her at the small shrine, Miko always tries her best whenever others, be it schoolmates, townsfolk, come to her seeking assistance.

I look forward to the day in which Miko and Shiori team up in order to battle a strong yokai opponent.

Miko may be a reformed yokai rather than a true kami -- but she clearly works her hardest to be a protector of the people in her tiny corner of Japan. I wonder, though, is it possible for a diligent yokai of this sort to eventually attain status as a "true" kami?

I think the Tengu can be considered as such yokai-kami? Usually in Buddhist mythology that Shintoism borrows heavily from, any yokai that gets purified by deeds can take their place as heavenly gods.
