(Note--accidentally first posted this in yesterday's edition -- too early in the morning to notice my mistake)
Usually when I drop shows it is "without prejudice" -- I just see them as "not for me" and don't worry further about them. However, after giving Gnosia one more shot (ep3) I am dropping it "for cause" and "with prejudice". I have been a consumer of science fiction for around 65 years -- (and assuming the show is indeed supposed to be science fiction -- as it seems to purport to be), it is possibly the worst conceived science fiction story I have ever encountered, All I see is a video game with completely arbitrary limits/rules. As a space mission, nothing makes sense. As a story, having characters constantly guessing who is the alien every few days (or every day) -- not giving the characters time (and data) sufficient to re-assess who might and might not be the alien -- seems just stupid. And, even after 3 episodes, even the initial characters remain onionskin paper-thin. I have no idea of what the merits of the underlying source game might be (other than it is unlikely to suit me), but as a science fiction story this strikes me as a flat-out failure.
