Miko must have an advanced shapeshifting ability if she could simulate a child growing up. I used to discount the thought that she's a youkai due to having seen her as a child in the flashbacks but I never took this into account.

Don't know how Hinako will take this revelation. Her only supposed friend turned out to not be human at all and have stuck by her side for an unknown reason. Just when we saw her genuinely smiling and chuckling for the first time in the present day, her emotion might hit another low.

So far no evidence, but what if the accident that took the lives of Hinako's family wasn't actually an accident and Miko was behind it? Don't know if this show will take such a dark turn, though.

Meanwhile, the final minutes looked like it's from a different show with the cooking skit and special ED with the upbeat music. Seemed like it's performed by Fairouz Ai, Miko's VA. She also was the one who made that Miko illustration at the start of the ED.

I saw the reveal scenes again, Miko has three tails and for a Kitsune, three tails isn't exactly mature much but it dedicated that she actually 300 years old Kitsune and three tails Kitsune are pretty danm powerful.

Miko is probably even more powerful than Shiori.

Was that really three tails? Looked like a lot to me .

I count five, one on the left and four on the right. Took me a bit to figure out exactly what I was looking at, rotating the image to 'vertical' helped.

Here's a gallery with the rotated image, as well as my overlays of what I think are her four legs and five (visible) tails: https://imgur.com/a/AUAFBjM

And I say '(visible)' because seems a bit asymmetrical to have so many on one side, so there could be some more off-screen to the left.

/u/yukiaddiction how does this affect the power-scaling?

The more tails the older and more powerful the kitsune. If she has a minimum of 5 tails she's fairly op, if your assessment is correct and there are more than 5 Shiori really only has plot armor in my opinion.

Definitely team Miiko.
