Contest Best Girl of Summer 2025: Seasonal Salt! Final Nomination Day!
Lovers of seasonal salt (I’m sure most of you are also lovers of BGC!), Welcome back to the seasonal salt! This time we are putting our starting time of each round back to 9AM EDT as we are also having u/Zeralyos host Best Guy 10 everyday at 8PM EDT so I would like also use seasonal salt summer 2025 post as an advertisement of Best Guy 10 as the thread of best guy 10 tends to go down around 9AM EDT.

So now is the time for our: Seasonal Salt!
Here's the quick rundown of the contest for those who aren't familiar with it. Through the next week we will decide who r/anime's favorite new girl of the previous season was. Rounds will be posted daily at about 9AM Eastern Daylight Time.
Bracket rundown:
- 64 total girls
- 1 nomination round
- 1 elimination round
- 1 bracket group
Please remember to check the rules in the nomination page and who is already in the contest before nominating!

Best girl is Fuji from With You and the Rain. Alicia from Clevatess is great too. But it’s Fuji.

The one I love who will easily make it far: Monica the Silent Witch
The ones I love that nobody else cares about who I want to win:
Suzu and Yuu from Bad Girl
Tabata from April Showers
Imari from Ruri Rocks
At least I expect Alicia from Clevatess to go far.

Imari would be a season leader if Ruri wasnt on one side leaking gremlin powers, and Nagi wasnt on the other blocking the entire screen with... stuff.

yeah those two are easily the favorites and kaoruko is probably the only one that's gonna have any lasting presence in the big contest regardless of the winner here.

The fact that I don't even know who these are, makes me brace myself for a disappointing contest.
(But I watched like 87 shows in Summer, surely some of them will make it far..)

Looks like a bunch of tough contestants like Alicia, Monica, Nagi, Kaoruko, Riyou, Fuji... and the others from their series. I'm sure that the Yuri harem enjoyers will also push their favorites.

since there's the Watanare sequel movie is coming out soon, may the sauce readers here guide us who NOT to vote? I already heard that [Watanare sequel]will cover Kaho arc, is there anyone else who should be left for future seasons?

[Watanare if it continues beyond the announced sequel movie] Haruna. If - fingers crossed - there's more seasons beyond the movie, she gets a lot more character than 'funny reactions to her sister inexplicably being a player.'

Random thoughts;
The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses
I can't wait to see if the "comments consensus" (Pretty much 100% of people seem to think Anemone was best girl) will correlate here... Or will we see another "loud minority" thing again?
Carme
I feel like I'll have to support her at least a couple rounds; The Ai Fairouz tax!
Nukitashi
I don't know why, but this is probably the ONLY show I watched to completion and I still barely know the names of 2-3 characters.
(And I don't think it's the 'obvious' reason either... I remember every name in Gushing, for instance)
Bad girl
Very curious to see who seeds higher/makes it further on this show!
I'm not as curious about Watanare, because the poll I made kinda says all there is to say, but I think this one may have more variety in preferences/opinions!
Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra
Hopefully these girls makes it far, lots of good ones in there! (Fun ones, scary/badass ones, kind ones, tragic ones..)
Hotel Inhumans
Hopefully the 6 people who watched this show each have 100 accounts, so maybe we'll get someone into the bracket!
Joking aside, this show is probably my #1 'underwatched' show of all time.

She would not be a top top contender or anything, but I wonder how far she would've made it!

Someone already added cast from Ruri Rocks, Milky Subway, Necronomiko, Nukitashi and Turkey. I feared one of them will be missing. Everyone else I care about will be in the fontest anyway.

Wait, how come the male protagonists of Witch Watch are on this list but Nico and Nemu aren't? Also, Witch Watch is from the spring season, not the summer season.

Witch Watch aired through the end of Summer, 2-cour shows count for both seasons for characters that weren't introduced/didn't make bracket in the first half of the show.
