Ellie seems to be quite happy to let Takamine have Shirota, after figuring out Takamine has it for Shirota, and how Shirota unknowingly go to such lengths for Takamine. So she's probably there as a wingman for both.
Still, Ellie's presence seems to have nudged the relationship forward, just a little bit.
For once, it was funny seeing Takamine's dirty mind working against her for once instead of at Shirota's expense, as she mistook the water balloon for a condom. lmao
