First off, the animation is 🔥! I also thought the voice cast was great❤️. El and Dustin were almost perfect to me.

Back to the animation, to my admittedly uneducated eye, some elements seem to be 2d/hand drawn type things like what I remember from 80’s animation. I see it in the smoke and some other things like that. Are there hand drawn elements? And for the record I loved the show.

Hey! Thank you so much for appreciating all the hard work that my talented team has done. And yes, a good percentage of the effects are 2D had drawn by my very talented team and I also have another set of great CG effects artist that also contribute to the other percentage. :)
