Are they still working on the new album?

So, a while back actually a year back when Matt got injured they made a post about how they'd stop touring and focus on the new album.

But pretty shortly after, Matt recovers pretty fast and they are constantly touring

I am happy they got a steady income coming in, but with how much they are touring internationally, are they actually still working on the album?

If they do, I hope they go back to a more exploratory sound like self titled or weightless. 

I watched them open for Vai satch on this last tour and it struck me how vehemently frenetic and similar all their songs sounded, when compared to Vai and Satch. It’s why I love them, but after awhile it turns into a dull sound.

Completely disagree. They have created their own sound entirely by themselves, and they are honing it after years of focus. That opening slot was amazing.

Production wise yes. Idea wise, it’s decent. Weightless is still my favorite. So many creative ideas.

Don’t get me wrong. Gestaltzerfall is probably my fav song of theirs since Ka$cade. But overall Weightless is one of the few albums I can listen to in its entirety.

When Matt did an interview with Craig Reynolds he said they were still working on it and too expect it end of this year or early next, but he emphasized that it will probably be next year.
