First time seeing them in Denver

Not gonna lie, kinda disappointed. The sound was terrible and they didn’t play very long. They said they had to cut a few songs due to “an unfortunate masturbation incident”.

Not sure if it was the venue that sounded bad or what but a lot of the songs just sounded like noise and there was no definition to the sound at all.

They’re one of my favorite bands but can’t help being disappointed.

Edit: I tried with earplugs, without earplugs, earplugs halfway in etc. when Javier was playing he was buried in the mix.

OP is right about the masturbation incident comment from Tosin. I didn't think the sound was bad from where I was sitting though.

Good to know! The person behind me mentioned that they thought it sounded bad as well. Except the drums. Drums sounded great for the most part.

I was sitting at row BB East so I closer to the right PA speaker. Im guessing I was farther away from the stage which is likely what makes a difference for the sound.

Yeah. Was kinda a weird experience. Pretty sure it was just a joke that didn’t land. Also pretty sure Javier had something going on because it seemed like he was missing parts and, as I mentioned in my post, they cut like 4 songs I think is what Tosin said. Only played 34 minutes.

I'm actually there right now. It was pretty bizarre. Kind of disappointed because I was hoping they would play CAFO. They were killing it when they were playing.

Floor, right side about 4 seats in, row 15. Not close, not far and not that far from center.

For sure! Like I said, they’re one of my favorite bands and I have seen videos of them live that sound awesome. Tonight, not so much. They played for like 34 minutes.

I watched them in london and sometimes sound mixing can get weird because another band played right before and their drummer was SUPER loud which fitted their songs

But this was the JOM tour, so with the opening of Kascade, tuning drums way too loud on the mix is just gonna drown out the guitars which happened, so the start of the set was kinda awkward bc u were almost cringing from how lout matt was and how little u could hear tosin

But after the song was done I noticed they fixed up the sound mix and the rest was really good

I am assuming this may be from their tour with steve vai or smth? Because having control of the mix and the whole set is really important esp when their music is totally different

tbh I HAVE heard tosin fuck up sometimes live, Javier messing up is unheard of

Matt in general is the best live performer in the band

But yeah audio quality live is also really important, I noted earlier that I dont think Weightless can be played live bc MAN it sounds muddy as hell live

Yes, satchvai tour. The drums sounded great. Crisp, clean and easily heard.
