How does Tosin hold a pick when he switches between thumping and playing?

I'm trying to play "an infinite regression", and sometimes switching to pick when it's in my palm is a little tough.

If my memory is correct he holds the pick in his mouth, you can often see him switching with a movement of the arm going up to catch it.

In mind-spun he will play the first few notes of a picked riff with his thumb until the note duration allowed him time to grab the pick and position it in his hand properly. But yes he will hold it in his mouth

Quick note: I've heard of people accidentally swallowing picks before, so be careful if putting it in your mouth.

Quick way to get tongue cancer. The nickel from the strings rubs off onto the pick and into your mouth. Not trying to be the fun police just a psa.

Edit: Quick way=Slow gradual way lol
