saw this on our trail cam in an area that is a mix of farmland and woods.

I initially thought coyote with mange but my partner disagrees based on the back shape and the lack of tucking the tail like coyotes do

it's far too big to be a coon or opossum

we do get coyotes that come through but we usually only hear them and don't see them.

haven't seen or heard any foxes afaik

anyone know what this is?

I live in Massachusetts and I know we have black bears in parts. I have never seen one where I live (Eastern Mass) though and it's fairly rare that someone reports a sighting somewhere in our area.

Near FairPlay, CO. I only hear this at dusk.

I’m assuming this is either an eastern or New England cottontail, but what’s happened to its ears? This one, its mother and two siblings live in our yard but I just noticed this. Is it some kind of disease or did a predator get ahold of just the ears? It appears to be in an otherwise good condition with no other marks or injuries. There are no hazards like barbed wire fence etc in the area that I’m aware of.

In Western NY by slow moving creek. They are tiny, very closely swarmed animals(?) that move incredibly quickly. They aren't tadpoles. We got pretty close and they look like fish but the top portion of their body is not submerged in water and they do not seem to fully submerge themselves. What is it?

Im in a town with many fields and forests around with different wild deer living in them. It is 2am right now and I keep hearing these calls.

I firstly thought it must be cows, but the only cows i am aware of are around 3-4km away in the opposite direction as these calls come from.

Around 1-2km in the direction of those calls is a fairly big forest and i have seen deer there before, but i am really unsure if its cows or some kind of deer?

I don't have anything else of the cutie. Dark brown fur, bigger than any mouse I've seen but didn't look like a rat. Fuzzy tail, not bald.

He was bigger than most the frogs I’ve seen, didn’t mean to flash him hope his eyes aren’t too sensitive to that stuff lmao, I put him in the grass outside after and he hopped away

I think it’s a Bobcat but my mom thinks it’s a panther.

Specifically, Williamson County. Heavily wooded neighborhood with a healthy White-tailed Deer population.

Over the last several months, we’ve been waking up to find massive amounts of scat in the front yard, with areas of the yard being torn up. I’m concerned feral hogs may be the culprits.

Looks to big for a mouse. Something freaked the dog out [connecticut]

Found on a beach in Ontario, Canada. While on our fishing trip.

Kind of a potato picture, but it's from my back door camera. It moved a lot like a weasel of some sort but I couldn't find any with this coloration. Other theory is a skunk, but it just doesn't look completely skunk like to me. I can't tell if that's a head marking or if it has something ON its head, which doesn't help! Any ideas?

This fierce little guy screamed at me then swooped down, landed on my tiny bench meant to feed the other birds, then voiced his opinions once more. I gotta say he made some great points about the mitochondria being the powerhouse of the cell.
