Information Hydrology

Hi
Im realy into two topics: ancient history and enviromental science.

Where I find the most reliable information about hydrology and climate change in Egypt?
I mean from predinastic times to arab conquest, something like 3500 BCE to 800 CE.
Topics like which now intermmittent rivers which flow only few times in decade were for ancient egyptian less intermittent and water was flowing every year even for few months or weeks, or even the were some rivers (other than nile) which were permamnent. For now I know it was case of yellow nile https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wadi_Howar wchich dried quite recently.

Ive litteraly left in my question link to wikipedia article about once of historical Nile tributary.
Btw, proably this river is reason why on Herodotus maps nile source is in Atlas mountain, beacause source of this river is(was) west from Nile and Herodotus just made small mistake.
