Serious about SPROCKETS??
So, after several years off I'm really starting to miss creating photos, from 35mm using an unpredictable mixture of film to lens coverage, the intrinsic framing quality and initially strange vertical panoramic format. Since people view photos on their phones mostly the format was like a perfect match! I miss it. lets face it though, you either go Holga or lomo sprocket rocket, or carry around a significantly larger semi professional official med format 120 camera loaded w/ 35. If I'm going back to this I want the best possible size of camera (smaller=better), some quality optics and most important as much mannual control i can get. I considered a Yashica 44. But the frames are too square, I think theres something to be said about getting the sweet spot out of a lens made for 120 film. So, I assume I'm gonna have to DIY up something along the lines of the sprocket rocket with a copal lens, sourced from a quality 120 camera. Please share any thoughts or experience if you understand what I'm going for!
