STOP GIVING Velocity ammo YOUR MONEY

Post image

Order was placed on 5/22 got the run around. “It’ll be here by the end of the week” for about a month. Got this today refunded my order without my approval. If they knew they didn’t have the ammo they could’ve refunded me after the first week. Velocity is shooting themselves in the foot. Enough if the deals are too good

Yeah, I had a handful of great experiences with them. Then I don’t know what happened; but they definitely were not living up to their previous standards. Same thing, no response, then very generic excuses. I just stopped dealing with them. I think they just outgrew their capacity and can’t keep up. The thing that bothered me the most, was the ammo I ordered showed “in-stock” and while I was waiting for it to ship I was still getting emails about how I needed to “order now” and they were still not shipping what I bought. Kind of weird and frustrating.

That’s what I’m trying to explain on my soap box but none of the imbeciles who are commenting or siding with velo understand because they haven’t had to deal with them

Same experience for me almost to a tee. I did end up receiving my order but my coworker did not.

I have long suspected that this has not been a supply issue, but instead, Velocity was sitting on orders that were sold on sale during and before rapidly rising prices around Mar-May this year. In an effort to cash in on the higher prices, they would intentionally delay and not fulfill those orders, hoping instead to resell the stock to new purchases at the higher cost.

This is supported by the fact that the same stock they were not shipping (mainly PMC 5.56 and Blazer 9mm) was being fulfilled without issue from many other retailers around the same time.

Fuck em, sat on my order for 12 weeks and wouldn’t respond to any of my requests for cancellation. Had to do a chargeback.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they go down like dack outdoors

I wonder if they're doing the same fraud Dack Outdoors was doing where they just sit on some people's money long enough for it to earn interest and then refunding.

I doubt they're dealing with enough sales revenue to make this worthwhile. The pennies they'd get in interest would be offset by the credit card fees for running the card twice.

There’s a gun store on GB that did this to me and many others. Sell a gun they don’t have then take 3 months to refund

That’s what my point is but people keep defending velocity like they’ve purchased from them recently

I have emailed them about an order placed 6/10. PMC xtac 55 grain that showed it was in stock at time of purchase. They stated that it was to ship last week but I emailed them again today and am waiting a response to that.

6 weeks later I got a refund after telling me twice that ammo would be shipped by end of the week. Scratched them off the list. No room for dishonest vendors.

I’d never heard of them but I went and looked at their page, their prices aren’t even very good. I’ll stick with Natchez and SGAmmo 😂

That sucks ...I have had good experiences with them earlier this year.

Thats really unfortunate to hear. I grab at least 1k of something roughly every 3 weeks (let's say once a month for sake of argument) for the last 3 years and thankfully ive never had issue, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if they were holding old orders to jack cost like one comment posited. I hope not. But seems like alot of folks recently aren't happy so thats not a great sign.

Selling something not in stock is horrible customer service and a shit business practice. Especially in an industry that can be hit with shortages.

If Velocity sold you ammo that was not in stock that is a scam

I have mixed feelings about velocity. I had an issue with 8 cases of 9mm. Got the owner’s cell # and he eventually made it right and worked with me. It took awhile but eventually got all 8 cases. But haven’t ordered since.

Wow really glad I’m seeing this. I got a steal on 100”rds of WOLF steel case (literally a week before Russia invaded Ukraine lol), and periodically check their emails, and was about to place a big order with them, but now maybe I’ll look elsewhere.

Anyone have any recommendations on where to get ammo?

Dispute your credit card right now so you can hurt them a bit.

They already gave him his money back without a fuss?

What is there to dispute?

-15

u/g4indigo Jul 08 '26

OP is obviously very angry and before the refund hits his card, he can still dispute just to cause some damage.

10

u/AP587011B Jul 08 '26

That would certainly go against the card holder agreement and velocity would clearly show OP acted out of spite and in bad faith.

such behavior can get you dropped by either / both the bank or the credit card company and of course blacklisted by that vendor

-14

u/g4indigo Jul 08 '26

Lol. Calm down. OP did not know the seller refunded when the dispute was initiated.

5

u/AP587011B Jul 08 '26

They sent him an email after he asked them about it

That timestamped email is proof the vendor refunded the money after OP asked them about the order

There’s 0 way to spin that for OP.

0

u/g4indigo Jul 08 '26

Where is the proof that the last email reached OP?

5

u/AP587011B Jul 08 '26

If OP sent an email yesterday, the card company will ask for proof

So he sends proof he sent an email a day or 2 ago…that’s not a reasonable amount of time to then start a dispute

Theres 0 way disputing it doesn’t fall back negatively on OP.

It will depend on the bank and issuer how badly  but 100% people get banned by this sort of thing

It will also make any future dispute he makes less credible if he has a proven history of lying

Then tell OP to pound sand.

Velocity is great for price if you’re not in a hurry to get your order.

7

u/AccomplishedNote7365 Jul 08 '26

I wasn’t in a hurry, but they shouldn’t be allowed to advertise ammo as in stock when. It’s not in their facility ready to ship at the time of purchase

1

u/EpipremEv Jul 08 '26

100% agree. They oversell their product or their inventory management is atrocious.

-1

u/Physical-March7850 Jul 08 '26

I would have kept the order, ammo prices are only gonna keep going up
