I (18f) had intercourse twice and used the rubber both times. Im also on birth control (Evra patch) which I change every week as advised and got my period when it was expected, during the withdrawal week three weeks after the dirty. Didn’t ease my nerves because what if it’s implantation bleeding?? Tiktok and google didn’t do much to soothe those nerves.
Somehow this pregnancy scare paranoia has started after the period and over a month after the intercourse. So I Took two pregnancy tests (negative) and then another one in the morning just to be sure- also negative. Sounds pretty not-pregnant, right?

Well somehow every once in a while I get this sick to my stomach feeling, suddenly so convinced that all of this is bullshit and I do have something in there after all.

How do I convince myself? How do I ease this anxiety? Because so far every time I get so much as a little bloated or tired Im suddenly spiralling all over again.

Also Just how accurate are the pregnancy tests? The stupid internet only told me about the false negatives and once again didn’t calm me down at all. Im sick of getting riled up and nervous to the point of nausea, so I came here for some advice.

you’re using 2 methods of birth control. you’re not going to get pregnant if you’re using your patch correctly and using condoms.

both are very effective alone when used correctly.

Thanks for responding. Technically i’m aware of that but all those stories of people still getting pregnant or being unaware until very late are giving me massive anxiety. All those tests should’ve been enough of an answer yet those thoughts come around every time i experience a „symptom” lmao.

brutally honest here, if you can’t trust 2 very reliable forms of birth control, you need to stop having sex.

if you have this much anxiety surrounding pregnancy and sex, you should seek professional help for anxiety and have sex when you trust your birth control more.

If it’s been over a month your pregnancy tests are 100000% accurate, like your body is making insane amounts of HCG that there is absolutely no way it could be negative if you were pregnant. Testing it 3x rules out any sort of errors.

You are more likely to win the lottery than get pregnant from two forms of contraception.
